My Body Care Routine

When it comes to the winter, I'm very meticulous about caring for my body. My skin becomes itchy, dry and prone to flakes. Yuck! While my routine isn't very lengthy, I've noticed that my skin looks and feels loads better. Take the time to pamper and baby your skin! It's the largest organ on your body!

While this routine works for me, it make not work for you. Take the time to figure out what type of skin you have and from there choose the right products that jive with your body!
1-The Body Shop Olive Oil Body Scrub - This is an exfoliating scrub that also moisturizes as well. It contains sunflower and carrot oil to hydrate and replenish the skin. I use this about twice a week, focusing on certain rough areas such as knees and elbows. I also make sure to use to on my legs before I shave. I feel like it helps give a closer shave and I'm less inclined to get ingrown hair.

2-Lush Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie - This stuff smells amazing! I alternate between this and my body wash. This smoothie while not super moisturizing on its own but it helps to soften my skin. I scoop out a small chunk from the pot and place it on my sponge loofah, (you can also use your hands) and smooth it on my body. Another plus, it leaves your bathroom nice and scented.

3-St. Ives Body Wash in Creamy Vanilla - Another thing that smells amazing. It reminds me of rich, decadent frosting. It does fade after the shower just in case you're interested but don't want to smell like a cupcake all day. It contains "triple butters" which means it's hydrating and moisturizing.

4-The Body Shop Coconut Beautifying Oil - After I'm done with the shower and towel off, I use this on my legs. This will last ages because only a few drops are needed. The oil is absorbed and there is no greasy residue. I don't put this on my face but this also works to nourish the ends of your hair. DON'T put it on your scalp, unless you like the oily slicked back look.

5-The Body Shop Shea Body Butter - I bought this only a few weeks ago and I already have a huge dent in it. It has such a subtle, nutty scent that soothes and quenches my skin. I also have the Olive and Moringa sitting in my cabinet for when I finish this. I have to say, I might love these so much that I may not even bother looking at other lotions.

  1. Nice post! I really would like to try a body butter by TBS, but I just think €15,- is too much compared to the other butters :( Will try to get one of them when the sale starts again XD
