NoTD: Spoiled Rotten

For people who just glance at the cheap nail polishes in the drugstore, don't! Wet n' Wild has their own line titled Spoiled for the great price of $1.99. Not only do they have an assortment of colors, the formula is surprisingly awesome. Both polishes only needed two coats for this opaque color.

What I Used:
-Revlon Basecoat
-Spoiled Pink Flamingo and Don't Be So Cheesy
-Sally Hansen Diamond Flash topcoat

By the way, my Internet has been down, when it's up I'll have my MAC hauls up. Happy Wednesday!

NoTD: Color Blocking

I always loved orange and blue together. Maybe that's the Knick/Mets fan in me! For those wondering, my gel polish manicure turned out to be a fail! After the fourth day, one peeled and this morning the polish on my thumb nail also lifted. I think the manicurist did a bad job, which makes me a little angry cause it was a waste of money. Oh well, can't change what's been done right?
What I Used:
-Revlon Quick Dry Base Coat
-Essie Orange it's Obvious
-Revlon Colorstay Midnight
-Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat

Happy St Patty's Day!

I Feel Spark-tacular!

I love painting my nails, it's therapeutic for me. I'm currently in love sparkly topcoats and fell in love with Spark-tacular. I heard this topcoat is a possible dupe for OPI's Rainbow Connection from the Muppet collection.

Hope everyone has been well, us east coast people got our first snow storm! Crazy right? I just hope this isn't a prelude to what winter is going to be like!

Nail Products:
-Revlon Quick Dry Base Coat
-Essie Power Clutch
-Sephora OPI Spark-tacular

NoTD: Electric Planks

I've always loved purple and yellow together. I decided to play around and see what the two would look like on my nails.

I rather like it.

Ignore the air bubbles on my thumb nail. My Seche Vite tope coat decided to get really goopy and gross on me. Any of my readers ever come across this issue? If so, how did you fix it? I have half a bottle left and I don't want to throw it out.

What I Used:
-OPI Planks a Lot
-Revlon Top Speed in Electric
-Seche Vite top coat

NoTD: Blasted

I had scoured a bunch of stores to look for the OPI silver crackle polish but it was sold out everywhere. The same day, I walked into Sephora and was greeted by their Sephora by OPI crackle line, "Blasted." I picked up the gold and the silver and skipped the black. I would figure the formula is the same as the original OPI shatter polish.

I have to admit, this is probably one of my favorite combos.

Products Used:
-OPI Lincoln Park After Dark
-OPI Silver Blasted crackle polish
-Seche Vite topcoat

Have you guys tried Sephora by OPI Blasted polishes?

NOTD: Gradient Pinks and Purples

I finally got my hands on some of the Pirate O.P.I. nail polishes and decided to do a fun gradient nail. To get the effect, I used a latex makeup sponge. It was a little time-consuming but I was pretty impressed with the results!

Products Used:
-OPI Rosy Future
-OPI Sparrow Me The Drama (Pirates Collection)
-OPI Planks a Lot (Pirates Collection)
-Milani Nail Laquer in 3D
-Seche Vite Topcoat

NoTD: Essie Sand Tropez

Been loving this nude griege color for Spring!! What colors have you ladies been sporting??

2.17.2011

NoTD: Borghese's Arrevederci Mist

This "greige" color is more grey than beige and is quite lovely. I'm not too fond of the Borghese nail brush, it applies the polish too streaky. It took about three coats to achieve the opaqueness I like. I do have to say that a part of the reason I purchased this polish was due to its name. I always think of Brad Pitt from Inglorious Basterds saying "Arrevederci."

Sorry the quality is crap, it was the best one I could find.

NoTD: China Glaze Harmony

So I finally decided to paint my nails with the China Glaze polish I got from my Ulta Haul. I absolutely love this color!! It makes my nails and hands look so clean and polished. I have to say it, I think I might need to get more China Glaze colors! Now I know why all you ladies love this brand. The polish was smooth to apply and the finish is lovely.

On a separate note, thank you for all the lovely comments about my job! Yes it can be stressful getting everything together, but the process becomes second nature after the first few times. When I start to work more weddings maybe I'll include some crazy stories I encounter.

Happy Monday! I hope all my East Coast people are staying warm in this frigid weather!!

NoTD: Combo of OPI and Milani

I am in love with these Milani 3D Holographic nail polishes. For this look I mixed OPI's Meet Me on the Star Ferry and Milani's 3D Holographic nail polish in HD. I applied two coats each and topped it off with the famed Seche Vite top coat.

Happy Monday! How is your new year starting out? Good? Great? Bad? So-so?

Talk to you all soon.

NoTD: A Combo of Rimmel and Milani

What I used:
Rimmel Base Coat Top Coat Pro
Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro in Hot Cocoa
Milani 3d Holographic Nail Laquer in 3D
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

I think this looks so festive especially with Christmas literally right around the corner!!

Happy Monday!

NoTD: Milani One Coat Glitter in Silver Dazzle

Instead of watching the Jets playing terribly, I decided to do a quick NoTD. This is Milani's One Coat Glitter in Silver Dazzle. I used Rimmel's Finish Pro polish in Purple Rain underneath to provide a darker base. Hope you guys like!

NoTD: Milani 3D Holographic Nail Laquer in Digital

I'm taking a break from working so I wanted to do a quick post on my current nail polish. It's Milani's 3d Holographic Nail Laquer in Digital and I have to say I'm in love! It's a pinky lavender that has lots and lots of glitter but still subtle enough for everyday wear.

Have any of you guys tried it out? Let me know your thoughts!

Happy 'Hump Day' Wednesday and Happy December!

Here to ring in the holidays is my favorite, Josh Groban. This is him singing, "Bells of New York City" live at the Rockefeller Tree Lighting yesterday.
