Ok, enough rhyming from me. Finally! I will post about my Vegas trip! Sadly it's almost been a month since it's passed. If given the chance and the funds, I would go back in a heartbeat.

We left our home of New Jersey and made our way to Newark Airport. I was pumped, excited, and thrilled for the change of scenery. Though of course when we arrived at the airport we were greeted by...A Best Buy Express. The reason why this is so significant is because my fiance works at Best Buy. It seemed that we couldn't get away from the blue and yellow monster.
We got breakfast and chit chatted for a bit, time flew by and we were ready to board the plane. I will tell you this. If you have a long flight, the Direct TV purchase option is a lifesaver. It took me about an hour before I gave in, but I was glad I did. We ended up watching an Law and Order: SVU marathon and also Sherlock Holmes (which is a real cute movie btw). Before we knew it the seat belt sign came back on and we were flying over the beautiful Grand Canyon.
Our luggage came quickly (another rarity for us) and we ran outside to grab the shuttle bus to our hotel. The sun hit my face and dry air made my skin dance. The shuttle bus was an adventure in itself as well. We stopped at almost every hotel/resort and got a quick tour of the strip. I was so very excited. I got to see the UFC headquarters and the beautiful mountains and flat surface. I could picture myself living there in content.
When we arrived at the Venetian, I was filled with glee seeing that it was the home to Phantom of the Opera: The Las Vegas Spectacular. "Think of Me" played on the speakers as we made our way in.
Not a cloud in the sky! Look at how regal the place is! When we walked in we were greeted by beautiful architecture.
I will say that the check-in was quite long and full of unique characters. It took a good 15 minutes before we reached the desk. We were given a map and specific route drawn with a pen to how to get to our room. We made our way past the casino and restaurants to the fancy elevators. I loved the elevators because every time I entered one, I was greeted by music from Phantom and Jersey Boys! How neat is that? Ok, picspam time of our room. It's pretty self explanatory so I won't be typing too much here =)
Ok so that's it for now! Stay tuned for part 2 tomorrow! =)
Looks like you had fun, I've never been and probably will never go. Is it sad my favorite part of this post was the Best Buy vending machine...
ReplyDeleteI love Vegas too. What a beautiful room! We didn't stay at as nice a place--we were at the Flamingo last trip there. But it was convenient since there was a monorail stop right behind it. I'm looking forward to psrt 2! =)
ReplyDeletePS - For some reason I thought you were a west coast girl.
Also, as soon as either: 1) it's not hot 'n humid; or 2) I get my air conditioning fixed (which should be Tuesaday) I am trying nutella on toast. I like peanut butter on toast (with or w/out honey), so I know I'll love the nutella.
ReplyDeleteLooks soooooo cool :D I want to live there haha
ReplyDeletewow, so much fun! I want to stay at Venetian too :D
